NItro 5 AN515-54 in-built SSD heatsink question

So I'm going to put an extra NVMe SSD I have into the empty NVMe slot of my Nitro 5 AN515-54.
Watching YouTube videos I got to know that there's an inbuilt heatsink for both PCI-e slots along with thermal pads. My first question is, is there a removable foil under those thermal pads I should remove before installing the SSD? No Youtube video mention anything about removing such a foil but AFAIK thermal pads usually have them.
My second question is that power cable for the fans apparently run quite near the second SSD, almost touching it. Will the cable be damaged when the SSD gets hot?

1. Open the laptop and check if the pad is sticky, if so no foil is there.
2. Don`t worry about the cable, it will be not damaged by the SSDPlease click "Yes" if I have answered your question.

I think as far as I recall that it was sticky on mine. Yes I have upgraded SSDs, RAM and WIfi card without disconnecting the battery. Just watch out for a static electricity. Please click "Yes" if I have answered your question.

Another question if I may, is it safe to upgrade RAM/SSD modules without disconnecting the battery from the motherboard if I make sure I don't touch anywhere except for the SSD and RAM Modules?0 -
