Hello, a few weeks ago the touchpad on my Acer Swift stopped working. I plugged in a mouse. Then yesterday one of the USB ports stopped working, so I am down to one (the one with the mouse in). Today I see the camera has stopped working. What next?
The immediate problem: I can take it back to Curry's as it's within guarantee, but how do I transfer my documents to my spare laptop so I can carry on working, given that I cant plug in an external hard drive and a mouse simultaneously? Is there a keyboard workaround for this? (and i am on borrowed time - the USB that is working may pack up too, at this rate).

PS  I just pressed F7 and the touchpad is now working again. This despite me having taken it to Curry's and them trying everything and finally saying it must be a hardware problem. So that solves the immediate problem, but not the USB and camera.

    Hi amaethu,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.

Thank you @Easwar, I just did that. Touchpad still works, USB and camera still don't.

Fire up Device Manager and look for any error or warnings there. The camera sits behind an internal USB port, as does (of course) the external USB port. There may be some issue there that will help with diagnosis. Test the external USB port with more than one device, it could be the thing you are trying to plug in that's an issue.

This error says that camera cables are loose in contact or it may disconnected. Plz contact acer support.

Meanwhile, the camera spontaneously started working again, in the middle of a Zoom call, without me doing anything at all
