Hello,
I bought this laptop in 2018 it would easily score 60+ fps in many games such as ffxiv and red dead redemption 2. All my games would normally put me in max settings including geforce experience.
It was doing great until last month it was hitting 1-30 fps in ffxiv even in lowest settings. Red Dead was the same.
A couple of days ago I cleaned the fans it was quite dusty and soon I'll change the thermal paste.
I'd like to know if there's more to it than just temperature and what can I do to fix it.
Thank you for your help and time.
My Rig:
Nvidia Gefore GTX 1060
Driver Version 471.41 as of now
Intel i7-7700HQ 2.80Hz
16 GB Ram
Display 1920x1080, 60Hz
Made a test with 3D Mark Spy Time:
Predator Sense:

3D Mark Spy Time Result:
I've attached the HWinfo64 Log

Applying thermal paste too less or too much will make things worst.

You will not get good performance because your temperatures are very high.
Your laptop will shutdown while playing and fps will be low with stutters and lag.
Solution- You need to apply new good quality thermal paste and clean laptop fans and air ventswindows 10/11 optimization guide for gaming

I've changed the thermal paste to arctic mx5 didn't do anything then I reapplied it and changed the heating pads to arctic heating pads. It was still heating up so I thought maybe I installed something wrong so I redid everything but it is still heating up. It's not heating up to 100c but still heating up.I was testing while playing subnautica yesterday and today.Since it suddenly spiked last month and from then on always hot, could it be weary fans or damaged heat sink?0
