Fan noise when gaming and power plugged in - nitro 5

Hi,

Since I bought my nitro 5 my fan noise is really loud when I play a game if power cable is plugged in. If it's NOT plugged in, I can still play easily and there is almost no sound from fans. However I ofc run out of battery within an hour.

How do I make it so that the fans act the same is if I don't have the computer plugged in?

Thank you

The reason that the fan becomes louder when plugged in is the laptop consumes more power and has better performance. You can turn of coolBoost in Nitrosense, turn on Whispering mode in Nvidia Geforce Experience, or change power plan to power saving.

Thx for response. CoolBoost is disabled in Nitrosense. Seems I can't enable Wispering mode in Nvidia since I only have a gtx 1050 card. How do I change power plan to power saving?

    Hi Drahc1,

To adjust power and sleep settings in Windows 10, go to Start , and select Settings > System > Power & sleep. Under Screen, select how long you want your device to wait before turning the screen off when you're not using your device.

    Hi Easwar,

Ok, I knew where the power options are, however I do not know where to change it so "performance" is the same as when on battery so my computer is not making much noice. Anyone?

    Thanks
