Yes, the M.2 slot in motherboard looks same for both types of SSDs, the corresponding pins on the slot to the second gap in the SSD will be dormant for M.2 SATA SSDs, when you install a M.2 NVMe SSD, the pins will make contact with the pins on the SSD and will function in a M.2 NVMe supported laptop.
This model has two slots: one only supports sata 3 and the other only nvme.
I bought this one and it didn't recognized it. I wonder if it is because it says NVMe there even thought
Your computer is AN515-43 and have you checked the bios information tab?
