Hi all,

So some time ago I got myself an acer nitro 5 model AN517-52 with the following specs:
  • CPU: intel i7 10750h
  • GPU: geforce RTX 3060
  • RAM: 8 gb DDR4 (2600 MHz)
  • Storage: 256 SSD
  • Screen: 17.3" 120hz

And basically, the pc isn't performing very well, at least when it's not plugged in. It struggles at keeping a decent frame rate with most games that I tested with, those being: ARMA 3, Verdun, Enlisted and Quake 2 RTX. I also tried two benchmark tests and they both gave my CPU a very low score. I checked for updates, including the geforce driver update and everything is in order. Also worth mentioning is that while the computer is plugged in, it heats up an insane amount and it's very loud, is that supposed to be normal as well?

Hello, I have purchased laptop with almost same specs earlier. I was also worried about the CPU temperature while gaming, so I contacted the Acer support and I have been told these laptops are built to work at high temperatures. You shouldn't get any lag spikes even if the temperature hits 98 degrees, the life span isn't decreasing either.
