Decided to pick up this model from Best Buy as the specs and price seemed decent for the games I play (CS:GO, Minecraft, Call of Duty).  Just wondering what correct specs for a RAM upgrade are?  Looking to get a 32GB (2x16GB) kit @ 3200mhz if it will work.  Just wanted to ask the pros and see what kits specifically will work.  Thanks!

The compatible and suggested ram for your Nitro 5 AN517-52-52T3 is the DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz SODIMM NON-ECC Unbuffered 260pin 1.2V CL15 Dual Rank using the DDR4-3200 SODIMM will not be necessarily advantageous as the chipset might not support it. What I would do is this, I would get CPUz and look at “Memory” and “SPD” sections to find out the OEM specs of your 8GB OEM ram as and with the OEM specs of your Nitro 5 AN517-52-52T3 it comes with 8GB and its not in “Dual Channel” mode. A kit of 2x 16GB DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz SODIMM ram would be ideal to buy as kits are paired and compatible for ram to run most efficiently in a dual channel setup.

Also your Nitro AN517-52 can take a max capacity of 32GB ram and has 2x slots (2 banks of 1) for the ram and can take both hard disk drive form factors of a 2.5inch SATA 3 - 6Gb/s SSD and an M.2 PCIe NVMe and the mainboard runs a chipset type Intel Series 300.

I am currently using the Nitro 5 AN515-52-52T3 and I want to get more performance so I bought the same ram currently installed in my system when I freshly bought it. So I went onto CPU-Z and This is the ram: Micron 8gb 8atf1g64hz-3g2j1. Serial is - 248B8E7B. I bought the same ram because I dont want to change it because its already max 3200MHZ that I would want in my system. I don't work since I'm a teen, and I would rather save 50+$ for the same amount of perormance.
