My monitor is only showing a black screen xv340ckp.

My monitor is connected and my pc is detecting it but it is only displaying only a black screen and I cannot use it. I have switch cables, switch ports, switch display types, restarted my pc and monitor multiple times. Can anyone help my problem?

    Wen you power it up, do you get the Acer splash screen? If so, have you used the OSD to select the proper input?

    No I don't see the acer logo when I power it up, though I pretty sure it is on the right input. This problem just happened suddenly, just pitch black out of nowhere. I updated windows and reboot, displayed my desktop and then darkness.

    If you don't see a splash screen (which should display even if nothing is attached) then the issue is likely hardware in the monitor. Something has been zapped. :( If you are in warranty now is the time to contact Acer support. If you are out of warranty you might still contact them to see if they offer a flat rate repair in your locale.
