BIOS Update on my Predator G3610

So I just bought a new Ivy Bridge i7 3770k, but before I can use it I of course need to update my BIOS. I am currently running the "P02.A2_Windows" version, and I need to update to "P03.A3_Windows". However, whenever I try to run the installer, it opens a cmd window that closes very quickly. In the time it is open, it quickly writes:

Reading File ........ done

FFS checksums .... ok

- ROM file size does not match existing BIOS size

So any idea what the problem could be here, and how I could fix it?

I believe it is telling you that the new Bios file is too large for the ROM on your motherboard.

A lot of acers have a "safe" option in the Bios that needs to be turned off to allow big changes, might be worth looking into. (If you disable it and it then works, good. If it is a motherboard issue, it still wont work...worth a try)
