Hi! The LCD Screen of my Acer Swift 3 just got replaced yesterday. With my new 2nd screen, while using it, I noticed that the screen keeps turning black randomly and it lasts for up to a second. It's been happening quite frequently. How do I fix this issue? Does this have something to do with the LCD?

Thank you!

    Hi erzandochel,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug the charger.
    3. At the bottom there will be a tiny pin hole with battery sign close to it take a pin or paper clip and insert into it hold that button for 20-30 seconds. Then turn ON the unit and check.

If the issue is affected by moving the screen it is likely due to the cable between the motherboard and display getting it's wires cracked by the repeated bending and straightening that happens where the hinge is between the base and screen. Your Swift SF313-52 has an Acer part number for that cable of: 50.HR0N8.001. Try searching on that if you are out of warranty, but your system is new enough that you are likely in warranty, so just contact Acer support and have them fix it for you. I'd almost bet the initial assembly in the factory pinched the cable enough that it failed early. Most systems don't see that type of wear for many years...
