    Hi,
If you are going to upgrade with the existing memory module, download and install CPU-z, rub it and find out the specs of the current module, buy the new 8GB RAM with same specs as the current module and install, for example, if you have a DDR4 2666MHz module buy the new RAM with same speed and install, don't mix memory modules with different profiles, like Kingston HyperX or Corsair memory because these modules have XMP profiles but your current RAM may have JEDEC profile.

Please visit the website  given below .  There is an option to  "start your scan "  and " select your computer " .   Please chose the options and try it.   It will show you the memory details and the best upgrade options for you..

Your Nitro AN515-54 uses DDR4 2400 or 2666 memory in SODIMM sticks. The sockets accept 4GB, 8GB or 16GB sticks for a total of up to 32GB of memory. Your best bet is to have matched sticks at the 2666 speed. CPU-Z as brummyfan2 suggests is a good way to find out what's installed right now without having to open up and look, but opening it might be less confusing. You may find it better to replace the existing stick or sticks with the higher speed if you are running 2400 right now. Be sure and stay away from memory that uses the XMP profiles, since that's not supported.
