    Hi RobiDeRob,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.

    (1) How do you know it's shorting the power supply?
    (2) Does it do the same thing when you remove the battery?

Push slider 2 to right with ballpoint pen tip, the pull battery pack 1 out.

then I tested two power supplies that have an LED.
and as soon as I plug it in, the light goes out from the power supply.
    everything tested without battery
and by the way .... the battery slider is not connected to the board, it is only used to remove the battery cell

Yes. The spring-loaded slider locks and unlocks the battery pack when pushed. What else did you think it was for? Using a flashlight, look inside the charger  jack to see if the center pin or side contact are bent.

How about the two chargers? Tried them both on a similar machine? Replacement chargers are less than $10. New mainboards are about $50 from Aliexpress . Might be better than trying to track down the issue.

    Hi RobiDeRob,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
