My acer aspire v5 471p with Windows 10 won't boot sometimes. The keyboard light and the power button light turns on but the screen won't turn on (Complete black).
I tried cleaning the rams. (Its 4+4) but even changing the slots it didnt work. Even if i boot individually the same problems occur. Even connected an external display.
So normally I need to turn on and off powerbutton until the logo appears for around 5-8 times.
And also sometimes pc shows the ram as 4 and sometimes as 8. But even if i boot from only 1 ram the same problem occurs but it will boot after several tries.
Can anyone please help. Because I have only this laptop
Thank You

    Hi,
If you have a battery reset button at the base cover you could try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains and follow the instructions in the video, leave the laptop to rest for 15-20Mins, reconnect AC adaptor and fully charge the battery before start using again.

Mostly I plug my laptop and use I dont think that its a problem with the battery. Even i tried removing it and inserting it back. I think its something to do with the bios or ram

No, battery reset rectifies any hardware glitches, go to BIOS screen and move to Main tab, press F9 button then press F10 button to save and exit.

    Hi amcareem,

As brummyfan2 said refresh the BIOS. When the display is black do you hear any fan sound from the unit.

Did you try pressing F9 and F10 buttons in Main tab of BIOS as I have mentioned in my earlier post?

You could also check the memory modules by installing one by one, one of them may be faulty because you said sometimes total memory shown as 4GB and not as 8GB.

I have run out of ideas but please wait for someone else to help you, otherwise you may have to get it fixed by a technician at a local laptop repair shop.

I recommend you to take your product to the Acer service, so they can repair it for you

My suggestion to you “amcareem” and you can take it or leave it, its your choice??? And if you have tried all the guides and solutions on the web and also seen guides like these on youtube then it most definitely is an internal problem of your laptops power circuitry, so either send it to Acer support and/or an experienced technician but, there is one guy that I really trust and recommend as he’s done this power problem work for me, he's at “NorthridgeFix” see this clip that shows you what he does with “Laptop No Power Repair - Finding fault using Thermal Camera” this guy is an expert and he can also do micro soldering and diagnose your laptop properly and has parts (which is very important as some parts can't be bought off the shelf) because, there is no magic fix of pressing one button and/or doing one thing as you will never ever fix it yourself! Power problems are complex and need experienced expert diagnoses and fixing with special tools and parts!
