Charger or charge port broken? Predator Helios 300 (PH317-53)

Over the past few weeks my laptop has been finicky with charging, only charging when the adapter is plugged in at just the right angle and needs a sweetspot to work. Now today it decided to stop charging all together. I'm wondering if this is a common issue and what the culprit usually is, the charger or the charge port? Unfortunately my warranty expired earlier this year, but I am willing to unscrew some stuff to replace the charge port if that's the culprit. Any help is appreciated!
