Hi there, I wanted to ask if overclocking the built in 1080p 60Hz display on my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 laptop to 1080p 75Hz is worth it.

My other specs are:
- Intel Core i5-9300H (with Intel UHD Graphics 630 which the OS runs on)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 (3GB)
- 128GB SSD/1TB HDD

Thanks in advance.

You will be able to get between 10-20Hz more and will be not able to tell the difference. Expect many crashes and reboots until you find what you panel is capable, so you tell if it`s worth it or not.

How do you intend to do that, unless you mean replacing the display with a different one? Refresh rate, to my knowledge, is hardware limited.

There seems to be software that does this, outlined here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-overclock-your-pc-monitor
