Touchpad not showing in device manager in last 3 days Spin SP314-53N

My touchpad, mouse and touchscreen were all working fine for over a year. Suddenly the touchpad stopped responding completely. The touchscreen and laptop work fine.
The touchpad is still activated in settings. I have attached the screenshot.
However, the touchpad does not show up in the device manager under mice and other pointing devices (below)

But I can see a touchpad under Human Interface Devices (above)

Is this a problem with a corrupted driver or with the serial IO controller driver?

Please advise!

Thanks.

The touch pad should show up in HID, not in Mice, so that's normal. Are you sure you don't just have it turned off? On my laptop the keypress to toggle the touchpad is Fn-F7 and the F7 key has a symbol on it showing the 'not' circle and slash over a touchpad picture.

I may have posted it to the wrong forum, I have a Spin and not a predator. Can moderators please help me move it to teh right place?
