I recently opened my aspire 5 a515-54g mx 250, i5 8th gen to clean up the fans and replace thermal applications and was confused what thickness of thermal pads are required for the two vrms and also suggest a brand with amazon link.
Thank you

You should instead paste with either Kryonaut or ArcticMX4. If you however insist on using a pad, the ACER recommended part is Eapus  XR-PE but the pastes are superior. Jack E/NJ

yeah but vrms are supposed to be cooled with thermal pads right? as a substitute I placed thermal paste till the pads arrive but performance seems bit low maybe because it should be thermal pads. By low i mean i cleaned it before but left the "melted pads" and got a good improvement this time the improvement is low after i cleaned the melted pads and and placed thermal paste on vrms.

No. Can use either. The recommended Kryonaut & ArcticMX4 pastes are superior. Jack E/NJ

    • When I opened the acer 515-54g with mx250 I ended up removing that pink thermal paste from the vrams, at the time I didn't notice that it has a different thickness than the standard thermal pastes. I applied thermal paste on top of the 2 vram chips, is it having contact with the heatsink? or would it have to be some thicker thermal pad
