Can I use my laptop charger to also charge a phone (Spin 313-51N)

My partner has just been given a Samsung A70 as her work phone. However, they neglected to include the USB-C charger cable. The only other device in the house that has  a USB -C connection is the charger for my Spin. It has a variety of output voltages listed on it from 5V to 20v. Does it auto detect the required voltage. Don't want to damage the phone or charger, but she's down to 15% and the correct cable won't arrive until later today?

Yes, it should detect the correct voltage and won't damage the phone.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi switchmog,

I think it is not advisable because for laptop the charger(adapter) is designed to charge the high lithium ion battery in volt but phone is not designed for it. It may cause damages for the phone.

Thanks for the answers. In the end I was able to get the correct cable on Amazon same day delivery so didn't have to take the risk.
