I just bought my swift 3 (AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics 2.00 GHz) and i tried running a few applications and it heats up quite easily. When running basic applications for school it get warm rather easily compared to my previous Asus laptop, and when running high processing speed (?) applications it get really hot, i can hear some fan sound, i tried to diagnose the fan speed using speedfan but it does not show me anything regarding the fan speed. I also tried searching in the power options in regards to adjusting fan speed but to no avail. I am new to acer and currently do not know what to do. Please send me some advice.

Had the same problem as the heat was too high - especially when charging. Need to take it back  to the Service Center. Do you know about refund policy?

What numbers are you seeing for temperatures @Josephine0908? Typical temperatures vary somewhat by what kind of use you are doing, but even under a heavy load they should be under 80-85C with your model. Mine runs around 50C most of the time and up into the 70s when gaming.

oh i restart the device and did the battery reset and the device temperature is not as high ?? , when on idle without charging is 30-40, when im charging and using it for school (zoom n stuff), it rises to about 40-60 depending on what im doing, and lastly gaming is 70-87 (ish). I was adviced to keep monitoring for a week by my local tech repair shop and also to use a laptop fan if im worried.

Sounds like the numbers are right about where they should be... :)

40-50 isn't quite ice cold, but under boiling at least. :) The fans should be running in order to keep temperatures in that range under normal use.
