Dear Friends/Acer,

I've got the latest realtek drivers but my volume is incredibly boosted even with earplugs: the quality of sound is really bad... Any idea about how to solve?

Thanks

I should specify, not boosted, just distorted, very bady quality and I am not an audiophile. It is really annoying..Smiley Sad

I tried new drivers from Realtek website but nothing has changed....

Any suggestion will be really appreciated.

Ok, I've disabled ANY effect or enhancement (control panel-->sound--->speaker properties) and installed shark codecs. It is a bit better. But still a bit far from ANY cheap laptop-with-integrated-realtek-chipset over there.

I really can't understand why this happens.

Did you download the driver from act or directly from Realtek. If directly from Realtek, you likely would have a driver issue. If you downloaded it from acer, then I would suggest reinstalling the driver.

I installed Acer-realtek drivers and unistalled Realtek ones. The problem still exist, most at middle-tones, plus a "noise" like an old disk or radio (to be clear). Im trying to make some settings in the dolby equalizer.
