Trying to install dual boots windows 10 / ubuntu

Hey !
So i've been trying to install ubuntu with dual boot on my computer but I've got a problem and couldn't solve it with the things I found on the internet.

So I download the .iso file and put it on a key with rufus. (I tried with GPT and MBR and none of them worked)

I partitioned 100 Gb and then the problem happened.

When I try to restart the computer to install ubuntu, it just doesn't appear, I don't know why.

I tried to change some things in the BIOS but it doesn't seem to work.

I don't know what information you need to help me so just tell me what you need to help me and I'll take the picture !

I have a couple questions, so did you manage to write the .iso image to the flash drive successfully? I dont have any experience with rufus but i do highly recommend Balena Etcher. Is the 100GB Partition on the boot drive you wish to install. When you say you changed some things in the BIOS does that include changing the boot order?

Yeah the writing on the flash drive was successful, i even tried with another flash drive first because I thought the last one didn't work but both of them work.

The 100Gb partition is on

, it don't know if it answer your question

I tried to disable security, to change the order, things like that.

if you haven't already - enable the f12 boot option in the bios (probably have to set an admin password to enable the option) - stick in the usb stick, do a cold boot and tap away on f12 to get bootable drives, then select the usb drive.

What is the exact model of the laptop? Example an515-51-75kz. Have you ever converted the usb stick to gpt and formatted it in fat32? Is the bootmode in uefi? Is sata mode in ahci or rst with optane?

It's weird i tried to post an answer to this 3 times and I can't see any of them.

I already try this and it doesn't work neither.. There isn't the possibility to select the USB drive

If you are trying to boot from the separate USB device, then you are are dual-booting.
For dual booting, your Linux and Windows co-exist on the same storage device ( can be different partition).

In your case, it seemed to be just separate booting ( I do it all the time).

Before your first Linux boot, go to the BIOS, hit F9 or Fn+F9 to load optimized default, then F10 or Fn+F10 to save and exit.
When boot up (while still in black screen), hit F12 or hold down Fn key and hit F12 many times until you see the boot menu.

One more thing, in BIOS, Secure Boot has to be disabled. Some Linux will allow RST Optane SATA mode ( I believe Ubuntu can be in this mode), while others, such as Linuxmint must use ACHI SATA mode.
