My hd from my ASPIRE x3990 IS DEAD (WD10DEDAX 1 Tb, 5400 om, SATA 32 Mb cache). I wanr replace this HD with a new one or SSD.
Who can tell me what is the best replacement ?????

Take this opportunity to change this old 5400 RPM HDD to a 2.5" SATA3 SSD. We are talking about the read speed from 105 MB/S to something close to 550 MB/S, much faster! When you take out the old HDD, insert the data cable and power connector to the new SSD at the same time. However, the size is different, you may need to find the four mounting holes for the SSD in the PC case ( it is just like a 2.5" spinning HDD). If you cannot find the right spot to mount the 2.5" SSD, try to find a dock that will convert the space from a 3.5" HDD to a 2.5" SSD/HDD.
If you do not mind the appearance, just affix the 2.5" SSD to the inner bottom of the PC case with Gorilla Tape or mounting tape, at least temporarily.1 -
