Noob Here - AN517-52-52T3 Extra HDD?

Hi Guys! Just picked up an Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52-52T3 for some mild gaming and general laptop duties. I was going to head over to Micro Center to upgrade the RAM to 16GB using this kit.

Can anyone confirm that this laptop has an open slot for a second hard drive as well? Any recommendations on which drive to go with? Loving the factory 512GB SSD as I came from an 8 year old laptop with a traditional HD. But I want to get Modern Warfare and Flight SIm downloaded and don't have enough space.

Hi,
Yes, you can upgrade to 16GB(2x8GB) but GSkill modules have XMP 2.0 support, so it might not work in your laptop, you can install any 2.5" HDD in the bay but you may have to buy the SATA cable and the bracket for HDD if it's not already included in the package.

Picked up the same g.Skill but in the 32GB pair 16GB x 2. Also installed a Samsung QVO 1TB ssd in addition to the factory 500gb ssd. Cable and mounting hardware came with the laptop.

Got the ram for $100 Samsung SSD was $85

Seems kinda late, but did the 32 GB pair ssd work? I've heard the and only takes 16gb ram
