Yes, your system is having trouble seeing the drive. It's not a BIOS issue at all. Either the drive has a corrupted EFI partition, so doesn't show up as bootable, or the drive has failed. Best bet to further diagnose is to boot into repair mode from a Windows install flash drive and use tools like diskpart to inspect the partitions. If diskpart can't read the partitions, the drive is bad. If diskpart reads the partition info good but the command prompt won't let you read or write to the drive, the drive is bad. If everything seems to be working then the 100MB EFI partition likely needs to be rebuilt.

What makes you think the BIOS is corrupt? It's very hard to corrupt one without doing something like pulling the power plug while updating...

When you say "then you enter boot manager in here there is no bios device" , do you mean "no booting device" instead of " no bios device" ?

If it is " no booting device", it may be the HDD connection is loose or the hard drive is bad.

Then check for loose connection first. Pay attention to the SATA port connection. Re-seat them.

This happened to my different PCs many times and most of the time just a loose cable.

Some SATA data cables can become loose easily if they have no clips to hold it to the connectors.

If you have other SATA ports to try, try it , or try a different SATA cable.

Otherwise,  I would suggest replacing the HDD.

It is strange that the HDD failed without warning.
Normally when startup , the POST process will give warning if the HDD is about to fail.

Hope that you have some system image previously stored for backup purpose.

Using this situation upgrading it to a faster SSD too, if I were you.

What do you mean by " i am looking for the fd file"?

One more thing you can try if the HDD is not bad.

Try to repair the boot sector.
If you PC can use the ALT+ F10 (or ALT+Fn+F10) at bootup and get to the Restore Menu, go to the Advance section. Try repair boot , see if it can be  repaired. If HDD is not bad, you may do a clean Win 10 install in the worst case.

If the Alt+F10 is not available in your PC, you may need a bootable USB repairing flash drive ( or repair disc), using it as boot device. Hit F12 ( or Fn+ F12) three times a second at bootup, getting to the Boot Menu. Boot from there and get to the Restore Menu.

    Good Luck!
  • @ttttt He is trying to search for the .fd file, because he assumed the bios was corrupted.@Pcfreak The bios is not corrupted. If the bios were corrupted, you would see only a black screen. Check if the hdd or ssd appears on the information tab of the bios.
