I have an Acer Swift SF314-52 with Intel HD 620 Graphics.  I need to buy a new external monitor to connect to it, and am trying to determine if it will support 4K.  This would seem to be a flat no, and this might give some hope, but I'm not sure I understand all the jargon.  Can somebody help?

    Hi @LorneM

Docking station is ok. But it has to be a DP cabel [Display Port] in order to get the 4K 60Hz.

Hope it will help you in some way.

Hope it will help you in some way.

Does it have to be connected to the port labelled 'HDMI' on the laptop?  I currently use a docking station connected to the USB 3.0 port, and preferably would plug the 4K monitor into the docking station.
