I recently upgraded my ram from 8 to 16gb. i added a Crucial 8GB 2400 1.2V on my Nitro 5 an515-43.

The problem is, after I upgraded it kept giving me BSOD on boot. Sometimes it'll boot but after a few minutes it'll freeze up and restart, or not even restart at all, it just freezes up.

Hoping someone can help here. Thanks.

    hai scelto la ram giusta?
la scheda madre del laptop supporta un espansione fino a 16?
puo essere anche un problema della ram che hai aggiunto magari è danneggiata

Does it work with the RAM as before (upgrade reverted)?

First, get CPUz and look in its "SPD" section for the exact spec of your 8GB OEM ram that you have and match that exactly its speed/timing and preferably the manufacturer (manufacturer is not essential). This is the suggested Acer RAM for the Nitro 5 AN515-43:
    • DIMM socket numbers - 2
    • Supports memory size per Socket - 4GB/8GB/16GB
    • Supports maximum memory size Total - 32GB
    • Supports DIMM type - SODIMM
    • Supports DIMM Speed - Up to DDR4-3200
    • Support DIMM voltage - 1.2V
    • Supports DIMM package 260 pin DDR4 SODIMM
The above specs are the complete and exact specs of the Nitro 5 AN515-43 memory that you should match, so don't get anything else, also and if you want to add an extra 8GB for a total of 16GB match exactly your current ram and put it into the 2nd empty slot, as that will work 100%.
