What is the maximum M.2 SSD this Motherboard can take? I want to get a 2TB M.2 SSD for mine

That's dependent on the OS and file system... IIRC with a GPT drive it's like 8 zetabytes. Needless to say the drives that size aren't quite shipping yet. :)

Has anyone successfully installed a 1TB M.2 SSD drive for the Acer Aspire TC-780-ACKI5?

    Here's my specs:

    CPU Model: Core i5

    CPU Speed: 3 GHz

    Cache Size: 6

    Graphics Card Description: Integrated

7th Generation Intel Core i5-7400 Processor (Up to 3.5GHz)

    12GB DDR4 2400MHz Memory;Built to perform

Connectivity- 802.11ac wireless LAN, Gigabit LAN. Drive Interface-SATA 6 Gbps. 2TB 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive

    Intel HD Graphics 630

I tried installing a Crucial - P3 Plus 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe, in order to speed up the computer.

Then used cloning software to clone the HDD to the new SSD. Next I removed the HDD and tried to boot from the Crucial SSD.

My bios doesn't seem to recognize the SSD when I try to boot from it.

Has anyone in the forums installed an NVMe SSD for this model?

I assume that the cloning software made it bootable ??]

Also I see that you removed the original HD before rebooting. That is good.

It should boot , if not maybe try another clone program.

Which cloner did you use ?

Yes, it sounds like the cloning process didn't work right.
