    Hi,
Most probably I7-7700 will work because this model came with i7-7700 as well but i7-770k may or may not work due to TDP(65W against 91W) and I haven't seen anyone upgrading your model with a i7-7700k, so you could try at your own risk.

It appears that the TC-780 and TC-780 models use the same main board model. But do the main boards have different bios and revisions?

There will be very little increase in performance between an i7-7700 and i7-7700Km since the BIOS doesn't support overclocking. Make sure you have upgraded to an M.2 SATA 3 SSD before any other upgrade, and that you have enough memory before trying a CPU upgrade.

Yes i have a SSD and 16 GB of memory that i can upgrade to 24/32 GB if i need too. also another question which would be best in my case. i7-7800X or stick with the I7-7700K

If I were you, I 'll save that $400 (from i7-7700 to i7-7700K)for a future self-built PC. For the price of the i7-7800X , I can built a whole PC with i5-11500 CPU with a traditional HDD ( 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 SSD is still expensive, at $200). This i5-11500 CPU is  40%+ faster than the i7-7800X. We are talking about 4 generation difference here.

Unless you have a deep wallet I'd go with an i7-7700 before a i7-7700K. The i7-7800X isn't a Kaby Lake so shouldn't run in your MB.

Don't forget to upgrade the cooling... The different TDP really requires more than the stock cooler.
