Orion 3000 and 10700 iGPU

Hi guys!
I bought orion 3000 with 10700 (regular - locked with igpu) so i can use integrated graphics. Mobo has no video output, only usb, ethernet, and audio. So my question is: how can i use iGPU? Is there a way to modify it, hidden header or whatever?
Out of all my motherboards, from budget prebuids to high end ones this is the first one to lack video output. Product page for orion 3000 doesn't mention lack of video output and doesn't show IO of the build. And I wouldnt even consider such an obivious thing like lack of HDMI to be a thing. I really like overall biuld and quality, nice little package (loud and hot AF tho, but that can be managed) and being unable to use all CPU features i bought would be great disappointment.

I take you removed the dedicated GPU from the box for other duties.

There might be one thing you can do other than finding another dedicated GPU. Intel GT 710 is the cheapest actually buyable dGPU out there right now. Good enough for 2D stuff and surfing, but definitely not gaming. It is even worse than the iGPU you have but can't use. It is really that bad.

Since your CPU has an iGPU in it, maybe all you need is one of those "USB to HDMI adapters"? I have never used one, but it might work. Maybe this is something you need to look into?

Yes my 3070 sits in my main rig.

I wanted 10700 for media playback etc. 4k mostly - 720 won't handle 4k smoothly, and iGPu will, what a time to be alive :)

I cant find proper manual for this motherboard, idk if usb-c has displayport - if it has it should work with your solution. Must check, no hope tho xD

I currently have 650ti and 660ti - both handle 4k better then 720, but worse then 10700 iGPU. And i have better use for them.

**fun fact - linux software recognize 3070 manufacturer as Sapphire**

You could try asking Acer directly about the USB-C or visit their "AcerOfficial" over Reddit.

Fully functioning USB-C would make things a lot easier. Maybe there's a way you could try an adapter, and if it is not working, return it for full refund? Anyway, if you happen to solve this I'd be interested to know!

    Off Topic:

GPU-Z offered "PC Partner/Sapphire" as manufacturer, but the manufacturer might actually be Zotac. The differences between the PCBs are small and few (power cables 6+8 vs 8+8 and one "4r7" in different place for starters).

    Acer's 3070:

Which model of 3000 did you get? There have been a bunch of them... It should be something like PO3xx-xxx-xxxx. Once I know that I can look up the specs to see if the USB-C supports DP or HDMI over it.

i am dissapointed to that there is no video port on my MB also.
And to add insult to injury, i just checked in my firmware, the build in GPU is set to disabled and there is no way to enable it. :s

Where can I find it? i checked in system info but it just says P03-620
I have part number DG.E23EP.00R if that helps.

I reached out to support but no response.

I can't edit last post so here is another take on this topic, since I found few more posts around this problem.

    1. iGPU is disabled in bios and user is unable to change that. Thats restriction by design. I checked mine and I can confirm that Bios R01-A1 has that restriction, and I am unable to tinker with that option. Question - is there alternative Bios for this motherboards? Or compatible version that has no restrictions? Or "admin" access to current bios?
    2. It is said in multiple threads that when dedicated GPU is removed from the system Acer BIOS automaticly switches previously mentioned setting and enables iGPU. I cannot confirm that since my motherboard doesn't have regular video output (no vga, dvi, hdmi or dp). Mobo has usb-c port that may carry video, but that needs  confirmation.
    3. It is also said in multiple threads that Acer Bios doesn't allow using both iGPU and dedicated GPU at the same time.
    4. When using older GPUs (like gtx 650ti or 660ti) there is no video output untill Windows boots up. I used to have this issue on other motherboards and that always indicated that mobos tried to use onboard graphics instaed of dedicated ones. Simple solution was to disable igpu.

I got the same model number, although i5-10400F doesn't even have an iGPU. I just noticed that there's a new BIOS available, but looks like it doesn't help even with ReBar. I have no way trying, as the box is now 200+ Km away sitting on my friend's desk.

If it turns out that USB-C does not support video, as it is starting to look, you need to get another GPU or motherboard altogether.

If there is no video output populated on the motherboard, there's no sense to enable the iGPU. That's why they have it disabled in the BIOS.

From my point of view there is no sense in selling CPUs with integrated graphics and not providing way of using it.

For anyone interested, i checked usb-c for video output, but as stated by billsey - there is no video output on this motherboards.

That is quite dissapointing, older boards had that feature, at least when there was no dedicated gpu connected.

I don't understand why manufacturers like to cut features so much. Its such a nice little prebuild to bad it will end as paperweight.

What a bummer! I really had my hopes up. One would think systems with iGPU had at least one HDMI port on them.

Some people buy Intel processors because of their iGPUs so that they can utilize Intel Quick Sync for video encoding and decoding. I know Predator is a gaming machine, but doesn't this mean that these boxes can't use Quick Sync at all? What a shame.
