Hi

I have an Iconia w510 with Win 8. I have no problem acces wifi network, but my up and download speed is extremely slow.

When i run speed test, i get 0,35 Mbps max.

Things i have tried:

Other Wifi networks - same problem

Update driver - Same problem

Update win - Same problem.

Different channel and Mhz - same problem.

I have a feeling its driver related.. But the newest driver appears with the same problem..

Do anyone have som other tips to what i can try out?

-Sorry for the bad english!

    - Test and compare your wifi network with a laptop or a phone.

    - Test your W510 with different hotspots.

    - Choose your real wifi network: sometimes, with a box, you have a limited one.

I have that happen occasionally but reboot the cable modem and speed comes back.

ps 510 is about 75 feet, three walls and a floor from the wireless box.

Try from a different location/hotspot. If the same it is your machine, if not then it is "something else". What do other machines on your network report ?

Might also open the Wireless network properties and uncheck everything except QOS and IPv4. Do you have other wireless adapters in range. The one you use needs to be at least 4 channels away from other adapters. What connection speed do you show in the Wireless Adapter Status ?

Sorry about the double post, there does not seem to be a "delete".

I am haveing xactly the same problem!?

was there a solution to this? I am getting a mere speed of roughly 0.05 Megabites/sec.

All my other devices on wo-fi get at leat 2-3 MegaBites/sec (android phones, android tablet & 2 laptops).

One other thing, when connected to an external monitor, particularly one with high resolution (1920x1080) I see the wireless speed drop. I really do not know why. Connecting an external wireless NIC restores the speed. Shared resources ?

Check CPU usage with and without the external monitor. I wonder if the GPU is only handling the creation of the data stream and the CPU is handling the actual data transfer through the HDMI port...
