When I close my laptop screen, the screen stays blank and the fan runs at 100%
I have the settings to have it do nothing when I close the lid. Otherwise it seems to run fine with no other issues.
I found from another comment that re-setting the power settings to default would temporarily remove the problem but it would always come back.
I also don't see any settings getting changed in the advanced settings.
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers

    Hi dwitol,

Please follow the methods mentioned below:

    Method 1: Follow the steps:

    1. Press Windows Key + X.

    2. Select on Control Panel.

    3. Click on Power Options.  On the left, click on "Choose what closing the lid does".  Click on the drop down menu for "When I close the lid" and choose "Sleep" or "Hibernate.

Method 2: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

    1. Press Windows Key + X.
    2. Click on Control Panel.
    3. Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on View All.
    4. Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 3: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

    1. Press Windows Key + X.
    2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).
    3. At the command prompt, type powercfg -restoredefaultschemes, and then press ENTER.
    4. At the command prompt, type exit to exit the Command Prompt window.
    5. Restart the computer and check with the issue.

Method 1 and 2 didn't change any of the issues. when it was on sleep while closing the lid it would start the fan up and the screen would stay black when I opened the laptop again. Method 2 didn't return any help

Method 3 temporarily solved the problem but after about 2 days, the same thing would happen.
I didn't make any changes to my power

I didn't make any changes to my power settings other than the command prompt and the power options all look the same as they did before.
