Aspire 5810TZ-4657 Will Not Post

I have an Aspire 5810TZ.  It was running the preloaded Vista with 3 GB memory.  So I finally decided to upgrade to Win 7 and it did so with no problems.  I also installed SP1 again with no problems.  It still had 54 updates so I allowed it to update and the system shut down afterwards.  That was the last time I saw Windows 7.  I press the power button and the light turns green, the WiFi light green and so is the battery light and there is also a small blue LED light that stays on for a sec. and then goes off.  I can hear the DVD rom spin and the LED light flashes also.  However, the LCD display is pitch black, no post, no ACER logo, and no words.  I can not press F2 to even enter the BIOS since it will not post.  I did not upgrade the BIOS, only the opsys.  I can hear the fan spinning too.  I removed the battery and just used the AC adapter with the same results.  So I removed the harddrive, the memory, and the CMOS battery too and press the power button with the same results.  I've seen threads about the "Black Out" on the Aspire One netbook but this is a Notebook.  Is this the same problem?  If so, how can I flash the BIOS and where can I get the files?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
