Launch Manager Volume On Screen Display Problem

Apologies for the really long post, but I want to state my problem clearly to prevent any confusion among anyone who is trying to help me. Thank you!

I have an Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820TG for about 2 years. I never had any problems with drivers or preinstalled applications issues. However recently, I faced a problem when I am trying to adjust my volume.

In the past, whenever I turn up/down the volume, or mute/unmute it, an icon(the on screen display, that is) will always pop up on the screen to indicate the current volume. But now, the icons no longer shows up. Furthermore, when I want to adjust my volume, I also have to hold the Fn key and press the up button more times that usual. With Launch Manager, each time you up the volume, the volume goes up by about 6%. But now, it only goes up by 2%, which is the default setting if you don't have any external third party applications installed. Furthermore, this problem only persists when I am trying to adjust my volume. When I turn on caps lock or enable/disable my touch pad, the icons that are assigned to these functions in particular do show up.

I know this could be a problem with my Acer Launch Manager, but I have never touched or modified its files before. I read up on another forum that the volume icons could be missing in the OSDRC folder of the Launch Manager install directory, so I went to check it up, but they are all there.

To make sure, I decided to reinstall my Launch Manager by first uninstalling it, restart the computer, go to Acer's support website to search for my computer, downloaded the Launch Manager installer and installed it again. After reboot, the situation is still the same: Icons for volume do not show up when adjusting the volume, but icons for the other functions do show up when I enable/disable them.

I also checked my msconfig, and confirmed that they are enabled to run on startup. Even Task Manager states that LManager.exe is running. So now, I am pretty much suck on a perfectly working computer except the volume icons don't show up when I am adjusting it.

On a final note, my laptop is Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820TG with Windows 7 Home Premiun 64 bit installed. My Launch Manager version is 4.0.5. Could I please request for assistance in this matter? Thank you for your time to read this post.

Thank you for the thorough explanation of what you have already attempted to rectify the issue.

You may wish to try installing the original shipping Launch Manager from the eRecovery application.

Beyond that, the only other suggestion I might have would be to use eRecovery to return the system to factory defaults.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. As per your suggestion above, I have also tried to recover my original Launch Manager (which is still the same as the one on the Acer support webpage) using eRecovery and even tried to restore my laptop to factory settings. But to no avail, the same problems persist.
