S200HL bd LED Monitor

I purchased an ACER S200HL bd (it's version name) and used the supplied DVI cable which is an 18-pin version. It appears in the device manager (win7 64-bit pro) that it is a generic pnp monitor so I downloaded its driver but was not able to find the exact version (S200HL bd) but only S200HL from the website.

The driver will not install. I updated the driver via windows update and it succesfully installed a driver that says S200HL (analog) even though I'm using a DVI cable. I am confuse because if the DVI-I cable is transmitting analog I can't enable the other analog menu in its picture menu.

Using my own DVI (24-pin) to HDMI conversion cable becasue my VC does not have a vga output, the monitor reverted back to generic pnp monitor in the device manager. Do I need to use a dvi to dvi (24-pin) cable in order to enable the digital driver in the device manager, S200HL (digital).

Please help.

Okay, I just found out that the supplied DVI cable is DVD-D single link and it is outputting digital signals because the female DVi input at the back of the monitor has no four pins of the DVI-I that carries the analog signal.

The only question is . . .the driver's tag may be labeled analog instead of digital hence the analog label in the device manager. . .but it does not install on my HDMI to DVI-D cable converter and shows a generic pnp monitor label in the device manager.
