Aspire V3-571 USB Problem

Hello all,

 

I have a new Aspire V3-571-6821 that has 3 usb ports. Just today I noticed that the USB on the left side of the unit (I believe it's the 3.0) has stopped working.

 

I have used it before with an external hard-drive and printer, then today I plugged in the printer and it would not work, I disconnected the cable and plugged it in on the right side USB port and it was recognized right away. So I tried the HDD again and same problem, the USB was not recognized.

 

Can someone please help me get the left side USB port working again!!??

 

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention I am running the pre-loaded WIN 8
