Acer Travelmate B113 Battery recharging switch off during playing a game

Question

Hello,

My Laptop is Acer Travelmate B113 and I encountering problem. Strange thing is that this happends so long only with Ubisoft games (Assasins creed and I am alive) when i play for example dark souls everything works just fine.

That is what happends all the time. i plug in a cord, open the game and after short period of time my laptop starts blink with 3 lights (switch on light and other two situated beneath keybord on rigjt side) which i found probably means that it is not recharging (and it is not) But when i swich game off, unplug and plug again the cord it is racharging again. Nonetheless after i switch game on problem is backagain.

I found somewhere that it could be because of some sort of device what control battery tempreture but i made very efficient cooling system so my laptop is cool even after long time of playing games with very consuming requirements.

If you can not find any solution please just tell me how can i disable this overheating device or whatever it is so my laptop can recharge how i want ant not how he decides.

I looked up the B113 on the Acer site but I cannot identify what the 2 flashing lights to the right are. I could not find them in the B113 illustrations and descriptions.

If this only occurs with one particular game, it is possible that the energy use is greater than the battery and charger can supply.  That is, in spite of the charger, your battery is being discharged and ultimately runs out of energy.

Does your game continue longer if you start with a fully charged battery and the charger connected?

I am not aware that there is a battery temperature monitor.  But if there is, I can speculate that it would disconnect load and charge until the battery cooled down.  Your efficient cooling would help reduce the temperature of all internals but would not necessarily limit battery temperature enough.

If either case is the cause,then your possible solutions are:

Don't play that game.

Consider a greater wattage charger.

It is possible that you would have received more of a response if you had originally posted under Notebooks rather than in Software.  Hopefully some of the Notebook chaps will have a more useful response than mine.

Have you done a search to see if similar problems have already been solved by another user?
