Hi,

I have an ACER Aspire 5741g and there was a BIOS password. I wanted to remove it, I oppend the back and I remove the RAM, I used a screwdriver to shortage the CMOS.

Then, I tried to start the laptop but there is a black screen. I downloaded the latest version of the BIOS, I copy the fc into a formated usb stick but still the black screen is there.  How can I resolve this problem and boot the computer again? Did I made any damage to the computer after I did all those things?

I will apreciate it, if someone has an answer, thanx

There is no way for anyone to know if you damaged the computer without physically looking at the system.
