Just received an estimated delivery for a W3 from Amazon of 3 July. What is the holdup ?

Staples ($380) and Office Depot ($350 with $30 savings) both can pre-order with a ??? date of Sunday 16 Jun. Amazon ($380) still saying 3 July delivery.

After thunking a bit I agree the BT keyboard is brilliant for use in a vehicle with the tab in a dash mounted dock. However a passenger may not be able to reach the scream and not including a slide out touch pad area makes it a PBI.

Whether it is a one true device or another in alpha is yet to be seen but I see no reason for it to be less capable than the W510 and I have been able to make that do everything except comfortably fit on a dashboard.

Am really curious to see what the power connector looks like. Right now I have a 140w 12v inverter I plug the W510 ac switcher into but for true mobile use will also need to support a powered hub (5v 2A) but 12v 5v connectors abound. Suspect vehicle power many not be clean enough for the Clover Trail chipset.

Do think eventially cars will have a universal dock and just provide amp and speakers and maybe an antenna. But first we need a universal docking connector/position.

Keep in mind that the W3 is just the first 7-8" class device and is obviously targetting the iPad mini but will need to hit the iPad mini's $329 price point (difference between 16GB mini and 32GB W3 will be lost on most).
