Support only for the local crowd - SNID database is flawed

I bought an Acer Aspire overseas and wanted to register it back home in the US. The support site doesn't allow chat or email without SNID or serial number. I couldn't buy an Aspire in the US with a Cyrillic keyboard, so I got it from a store in Ukraine while visiting. The SNID isn't recognized by the US support database. Really the only working link is 'Where to Buy". What type of ignorant ideas does Acer apply to their product support? This is redicuoulous to corner paying customers with IP/DNS language barriers on the website, SNID that aren't golbally supported and support sites that shut out paying customers . ACER is being sold worldwide, "where to buy" is never a problem, but wait until you have a problem, then you find out where to go with their product. The destination is 'absolute nowhere'. Now I know what not to buy every again.

Try acer.com/worldwide to see if you can obtain some solace.  Plead your case.
