V243H PS3 picture problems

Hi,

I bought this monitor just under 2 years ago and i have had it connected to my PC since then and its never really given me any problems. I have, a couple of days ago, connected my PS3 to the monitor via a HDMI to DVI cable but strangely it is not giving me any picture, just a black screen.. The light on the monitor stays blue. I have set the PS3 to output in the monitors supported resolutions.

I know that to be able to use the PS3 on a monitor it has to have HDCP. According to the spec of the monitor, it does have this. I have used the same cable to connect my PC to the monitor and it works fine, so that rules out the cable being faulty.

The PS3 works fine on my numerous TV's.

Please can somebody help me with this?

    consoles probably not supported

DVI converter would not support HDCP
