W510 safe boot

How do you get the "safe boot" menu during startup of a W510 tablet ? I've tried f6 and f8, & touch windows icon. I found the "on key while holding volume down control" to get to the BIOS menu but it is really primitive and as yet have not been able to get to the windows boot menu.

This is a really powerful device despite being limited to 2GB RAM and a 32 bit OS. And have gotten both the external camera and the GPS working as well as the Bluetooth OBD-II connection but it is little niggles that are getting me & need to do a "Safe Boot".

Never found f8 or shift f8 to work but did find a way to force a safe reboot into command line. The one that worked best was here and using method 2.

Did receive a reply from Acer:

"the Disable Secure Boot option requires Admin password. If admin password is not created, then setup admin password first.
You need to change the Secure Boot mode to Custom, which will be in standard as Default.
Custom : Contents of the Secure Boot signature databases has been modified with “Erase all Secure Boot Setting” or “Select an UEFI file as trusted executing” before."

I set up the Admin password in the BIOS and rebooted using it to access the BIOS setup. The boot menu now had the choice to enable/disable the Secure Boot so I set to "disable". There was no menu selection to change from "Standard" to Custon". It still will not boot from a bootable CD, just spins up then dawn and goes into Windows 8.

    Anyone have better luck ?

I think because of in preboot, System can't detect usb-dvd 'cause this system boot up faster than usb trick to be ready.

Can we slow it down in boot process?
