USB -No connection with digicam

Hello, I have a LapTop emaschines E 620 with Windows Vista.
I wanted to upload photos from an Olympus digital camera via USB to the laptop. I get no connection. With a Samsung digital camera, it works fine. what can I do.

If the download works with your Samsung camera, then the Olympus download problem is not computer hardware/software related. It is an Olympus camera / connection problem.
Do you actually have any pictures stored in your Olympus camera? Can you connect it to your TV and view the pictures. Is your camera to USB cable broken?
Use logic and your imagination. You can solve this problem
