Acer Aspire S3-951 does not shut down correctly

Hi,

my laptop stopped turning off recently, when I try to shut him down. Sleep or hibernate does not work too. He will start the procedure of shutting down, the screen is off and after a while the process stops at the point, where only the blue light on the left near the power button is on (or when put to sleep/hibernate, not sure now which it is, than it is just flashing orange). In both cases, the fan is on. Nevertheless, he does not react to any input, nor the power button. I have to press the power button for more than 4-8 seconds or so, to finally shut him down. Afterwards, when I turn it on, Windows is asking me, If I want to start windows normally or use a safe mode.

I have ePower Managment installed and Deep Sleep installed. Don't know if it helps anyhow. Deep sleep however won't start, stating, that the intel sth sth is disabled or not supported.

Pls, help.

Hi, my Acer Aspire One 722 does not shut down correctly. It has been trying to log off for over an hour. Earlier I had the same problem & I had to press the on/off button to turn it off & then to turn it on again. Once it restarted it would not open any Word documents. It opened internet explorer, but would not open any Websites. I have work deadlines due & I don't know what to do. Thanks for your help!

I am also having the same issue. I have the S3-951-2464G34-iss. I have reinstalled the Acer Power Management program in the hopes that it is merely an installation issue of sorts, to no avail.

Maybe we should switch to Samsung or Apple. Their services are fantastic and issue responses almost immediately.
