Hello, i have an acer 5560g laptop with the 6520g and 7670m, i went to the amd website and downloaded the amd detection tool to update the driver, it says that the latest driver is catalyst mobility 64bit, so ive clicked download and then install but its saying ati catalyst mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatibale hardware software on your computer.

Your computer does not contain a proper graphics adaptor.

Please can someone help me to get the lastest driver installed for the 6520g and 7670m for the acer 5560g thanks.

I suspect you have the same problem others have with laptops which have both integrated *and* dedicated graphics chips. As you might expect, integrated graphics is the default. Consequently, for dedicated graphics, you need to have a modified installer as the normal download only sees the default integrated graphics.

Acer's drivers obviously have modified installers. Unfortunately, in my case (nVidea), Acer appears to take no interest in making current drivers available. I modify the installer of each new nVidea driver as it becomes available but it is a pain! I may see if I can automate the process.

You could have a look on the Internet and see if there are any tutorials for modifying AMD drivers. Short of this, you are stuck with Acer's outdated drivers.
