numeric keyboard malfunction

Okay first of all I want to apologize for any grammatical or spelling faults in this thread. English in not my first language.

So here's the problem. When I start up my laptop (Acer Aspire 5750) the numeric keypad is working just fine. But as soon as I press the shift button in combination with any other key, it stops working. I hear a short sound which tells me it turned off but I'm not able to turn it on again. The numlock key doesn't make a difference aswell. Also when I press the numlock for more than 5 seconds, the pop up screen doesn't come on again. I reinstalled my keyboard driver too but then again, the same problem comes up.

Can anyone help me? I've been having this problem for a long time and still have found no solution.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I would  suggest to run Safe Mode and check if you experience the same issue. Please follow the steps below to start the computer in Safe Mode :

    1              Power off the computer.

2              Restart the computer, tap F8 on Acer logo screen about 3 times.

3              This will take you to ‘Windows Advanced Boot Options.

4              Choose "Safe Mode" in the Advanced Boot menu

5              When Windows finishes loading in Safe mode, check if the same issue persists or not.

Also try wiyh the screen-keyboard and check if the same issue persists or not

To get to screen-keyboard you can press simply this two keys below and choose screen keyboard from the list that will pop up

    WIN+U

    Awaiting your response
