Recovery CD purchase??

I have an Aspire One ZG5 which is on the 'Linux Linpus' Operating System, (Oh dear I hear you say).

It has built in to the OS FireFox 2. I've struggled to try and update it but I'm not a computer programmer and Linux is not easy to use.

I have been in touch with the 'so called' support to try and get a recovery CD for Windows XP but they pointed me to a support centre which i would have to pay for. I NEED to get hold of the XP recovery disk, (or a copy of one), in order that my AA1 remains usable, heck i'll pay for one but the on line store, (that's a laugh), doesn't have one listed.

Surely there's someone on this community that has one and would be willing to copy theirs for me or create an ISO file that i can download. Yes, i know that there's the legal viewpoint of copying a disk but if acer themselves can't, (or won't), sell me a disk then my AA1 is obsolete. Whoever thought that putting linux on a netbook needs a lump of lead in the ear, (from a gun).

I'm getting so frustrated with acer, I can't even contact them without phoning a premium rate number.

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY!.

Here's an update.

I had a reply from the, (so called), support, to inform me that i can purchase a copy of XP and, get this, TRY to install it, so it may or may not work and i would be down by buying a copy of XP that i don't need.

What is so difficult about acer SELLING me an Aspire One ZG5 recovery disk?, i can't even find one in the on-line store and trying to contact them is painful like chewing broken glass.

I get the impression that there is no support, it's just you on these forums giving 'better' info than the support people, and for free.

I have a LINUX recovery disk for the acer Aspire One ZG5. If anyone wants a copy then just let me know, i can do an ISO file or a hard copy to send in the post.
