when i work on D drive then i don't see the folder icons except names and then all are blank.why?

when i double click on D drive and and enter in it and press any songs folder for second time then my pc become slow. All the names of the song is visible but don't see any icons or anything and can't work. When i press on back arrow to go back then all the folders are not seen except names. If i close the folder and click on Computer icons then it's shows searching and later give an error message that you don't have enough memory. when i restart or shut off and start again then i can go to D drive but after 30 minutes when i go to D drive it's same problem like before.

I bought my laptop from Malaysia in 2009 and haven't face any problem. everytime windows program is updating. But my DVD rom is not working since 2011 january and didn't replace. My battery is not working proerly and need to buy a new one soon.

 

I am facing this problem for 7 days and don't know why i'm facing and how to solve this problem.

I'm using microsoft security essential as an antivirous in my laptop and operating system is windows 7 home premium service pack 1.

 Am i facing this problem for virous or anything? can anyone help me please?

Without additional information regarding the specific model or part number and what applications are running, it sounds like you are low on memory after working on the system for a period of time.

 

This may be alleviated by upgrading the maximum amount of RAM in the system or by observing which applications are running and consuming a large portion of the available memory.
