Keyboard on new computer not working

Top row of buttons on my keyboard does not work (sleep, search, mail, CD controls, volume) Everything else works fine. I have called Acer, they made some suggestions, and then sent me a new keyboard, which doesn't work either. Is there another solution- a setting somewhere, perhaps?

Any settings would be specific to software designed for that keyboard. More information would be helpful (type of keyboard, what acer suggested, etc).

Keyboards with special keys need special software/drivers to work. I would start by googling the keyboards brand/model and hunting for drivers.

    Thanks for reply!

Acer help line already had me download & install new drivers, and as I say, also sent out new keyboard.

The desktop  model is Acer AX3-100-EF10. It's also an ACER keyboard, wired, basic model.

Ill have to get home and check on my box for anything specificly "acer" as to settings.

I never used the stock keyboard, cant advise further without sitting in front of one.

Ill get back to this thread in 8-9 hours Smiley Wink

Thanks! I was thinking (& hoping!) that the standard keyboard supplied would be enough, and everything on it would work,.......
