Need help with v3-771g black screen of death.

Hello

I recently installed an unlocked 1.12 bios version for my v3-771g laptop.

After changing the primary display option from sg to pci in bios, the screen went black(infamous black  screen of death).

Power button turns on (blue) but that's about it.

I cannot enter bios to reset changes, i.ve also tried to flash the bios via usb(fn + esc) but to no avail.

Is there any way to flash the bios(apart from opening the case and doing it manually)??

Is there any secret key combination that changes the display back to default(apart from FN+F5 which obviosly does not work??

Any reply will be appreciated.

Thank you

I know how to fix it. You need to remove bios chip from motherboard and reflash with stock bios image. If you dont know of have skills to do that i can do it for you.

Before getting into the hardware can o' worms, I'd try getting into the bios again even though you can't see the screen. Press F2 a few times right after powering on. Then press F9 to load factory defaults. Press F10 to save and exit. Press enter. Allow enough time for Win to load usually signalled by a start melody if you still can't see the screen. Then sequentially press WinKey + RightArrowKey + EnterKey to shut down normally. Then do a cold reboot. Report back.

BTW, if you tried to USB flash the bios and it failed, it may be because the filenames on the USB stick might have to changed to be compatible with your particular machine.
