Acer Laptop

If I can get my message typed before I go mad then I am doing well.

I purchased a few weeks ago Acer Laptop Aspier V3 771G but I am having a very difficult time trying to type on it as the cursor keeps jumping all over the page as well as highlighting the text and deleting it.  I am on a fixed pension and the laptop was not cheap therefore I cannot afford to pay 10p a minute to all the technical people to sort this out for me.  If I do not the keyboard working as it should I will have no alternative but to take it back and get a refund.

Your problem is most likely caused by your wrists hovering over the touchpad while you type.

The touchpad can be very sensitive.

You can disable the touchpad while you type by holding down the Fn key and pressing F7.

This will toggle the touchpad on and off (press the same keys again to re-enable the touchpad).
